ACHIEVEConnect 2027: Build your scientific network
Dread the networking part of conferences? ACHIEVEConnect is a workshop for students and early-stage doctoral researchers that makes it a lot less awkward. It runs alongside the GfV Spring Meeting 2027 and helps you meet people, talk about your research with confidence, and think about your next career step.
No dry lectures: you’ll spend the time talking to people, not listening to slides. In exercises and conversations with peers and with scientists from academia and industry, you’ll practice a 30-second pitch and learn how to approach other researchers. Then you put it to use at the conference itself.
Places are limited and are awarded by our selection committee based on your CV and registration information. Selected applicants receive a scholarship covering free workshop participation, GfV Spring meeting conference registration (excluding social events) and an optional free overnight stay at Jugendherberge Frankfurt from 28 February to 1 March. Selected participants are expected to attend the full meeting and GfV conference.
The core workshop takes place on Sunday evening, 28 February, and Monday morning, 1 March 2027, with further activities during the GfV Spring meeting. Bachelor’s and Master’s students, medical students, and PhD students in their first or second year at the time of application are eligible.
