Climate-friendly travelling in Hamburg
On rails or two wheels, you can get to all the sights and hidden gems in a climate-friendly way, from the city to the surrounding area. Bus, S-Bahn and U-Bahn stops are quick and easy to reach and the HVV public transport system takes you from A to B at frequent intervals. As an alternative to public transport, Hamburg has even more to offer: Rental bikes are available from StadtRAD on almost every corner. Or how about an e-scooter, e-scooter or e-riksha to see the city?

Sustainable culinary experiences
Many cafés and restaurants rely on regional suppliers or seasonal cuisine.

Discover Hamburg sustainably
Admittedly, Hamburg's harbour, our Elbphilharmonie concert hall, the Speicherstadt warehouse district and the Reeperbahn are real highlights. But Hamburg has so much more to offer. In the city's neighbourhoods, you can immerse yourself in authentic Hamburg life and support local restaurateurs, shops and small museums. How about a shopping tour through the owner-run shops on Marktstraße or a little French flair in the staircase district of Blankenese? We have put together more suggestions for you in our tours of the seven city districts.

Sustainable experiences in Hamburg
Hamburg has a few real sustainable insider tips to offer that you absolutely have to see! Immerse yourself in adventure worlds and museums that take a closer look at the diverse possibilities: In the Wilhelmsburg energy bunker, for example, you can enjoy the view over Hamburg over a coffee and then find out about the regenerative power plant in the old bunker; in Kaltehofe, a nature park has been created in the Wasserkunst industrial monument. In the Dialogue House you can feel how blind or deaf people experience the world or you can get to know the forest in the Wälderhaus. Whether it's sunny or rainy, there's something for everyone here.
